I recently did an interview with Freek Kallenberg, editor of Down to Earth Magazine, about the prospects of the current Green Economy. The interview (in Dutch!) can be found here:
Good interview! It’s really hard to convince people that ‘Green growth’ is not a solution for the problems the world is facing. Especially in Holland. Many well educated people prefer to live in the dream that we can solve hunger, landgrabs, climate crisis and exhaustion of resources by reforming to a ‘green’ economy. Much easier than facing (and taking action against!) the nightmare of depleting sources of oil, fertilizer, soil fertility, biodiversity and severe climate change. They prefer to stick ‘green’ labels on very unsustainable products. How can we awaken these people while positive change is still possible?
Is there any chance of an English translation? I am sure others besides myself are seriously interested in reading the interview in English.
